MT. MERU
Often overlooked by trekkers because of its proximity to world-famous Kilimanjaro, Mt. Meru actually features some of Africa’s most scenic and rewarding climbs. Located inside Arusha National Park, a climb up Meru also offers incredible wildlife viewings. A Mt. Meru trek can be completed in 3-4 days. Day hikes are also an option.
OL DOINYO LENGAI
An active volcano near Lake Natron, Ol Doinyo Lengai means “Mountain of God” in the Maasai language. The trek can be done in 7-9 hours, starting at midnight to hike during the cooler hours and reaching the summit at sunrise.
