Your mountain support crew is vital in your successful climb. The crew will carry all the gear and supplies for your climb, set up and pack up your nightly campsite, prepare your meals, and encourage you on the way.
The crew will include a lead guide, assistant guide(s), chef, and a team of porters. The number of assistant guides, chefs, and porters depends on the size of your group. Added hiking days, extra personal gear, and rental equipment will increase the number of porters required for your climb.
You will be informed of your crew size prior to the climb. The cost of your climb package includes salaries for your support crew, but tipping is also customary as a special thanks to your team for their assistance and support during your climb. A special service we offer all of our climbers is a virtual coaching call with Festo, our lead mountain guide, so that you can get expert answers to all of your questions about how to prepare and what to expect on the climb. This will also give you a chance to get to know each other a little bit before you spend several days on the mountain together. We can schedule at any time that's convenient for you once you've booked your climbing dates.
